Franklin Co. tops Blazers

Franklin County defeated the Stan King Chevy Blazers 3-1 and 7-3Wednesday at Silverado Field in 10-year-old baseball action.

@Normal: In the opener, Ryan Ratcliff was the winning pitcher.He struck out 11 batters, walked 2 and allowed just 1 hit.

Paxton King was the losing pitcher. He struck out 4 batters andwalked 2.

At the plate, Robert Wilson’s 2-run homer in the top of thethird provided the margin of victory. The homer scored RoderickWilson and Jeremy Holland. Two singles by Jarvis King and Ratclifffueled the victory.

King College a single for the Blazers.

Offensively, McMinn tripled and singled for Franklin County,collecting 2 RBIs. Ratcliff singled twice.
