Allen, Collins to play in MACJC All-Star Game
WESSON – Copiah-Lincoln Community College sophomores Alexis Collins and Kelley Allen will play in the South Division in the Mississippi Association of Community and Junior College All-Star Game on Friday at 5 p.m. at East Central Community College in Decatur. The game will be streamed live at www.holmesccmedia.com.
Collins, a sophomore point guard from Jackson, averaged 13.6 points per game this season, and shot just under 40 percent from the floor. She dished out five assists per game ranking her 27th in the nation. The University of Louisiana Monroe signee also cracked the top 50 nationwide in assist to turnover ratio with 1.9.
Allen, a sophomore forward from Brandon, led the Lady Wolves in scoring with 14.6 points per game, while shooting an impressive 50.5 percent from the floor. The Mississippi College signee averaged 9.1 rebounds per game, 2.1 steals, and 1.5 blocks per game.
Sophomore Tytiana Hall was named an alternate for the game. She averaged 10.9 points per game and averaged five rebounds per game.
The Lady Wolves, coached by Gwyn Young and Nikki Williams, finished the 2016 season with a 23-5 record and were the NJCAA Region 23 Runners-Up.
