Wolfpack mourn the loss of former quarterback Daniel Fitzwater

WESSON – The Co-Lin Wolfpack mourn the loss of former quarterback Daniel Fitzwater who passed away early Saturday. Fitzwater, 20, who recently had surgery to repair an injured knee, was a walk-on at the University of Louisiana-Monroe.

“Daniel was a kid that came from a great family,” said Co-Lin head coach Glenn Davis. “He was a great a kid as he was a player for us. I can’t tell you how often his mom told me ‘God had a plan for him.’ I told our team, losing is not as bad as you think it is until something like this happens to you. He will be deeply, deeply missed by our football program. My thoughts and prayers go out to his family.”
