MOORHEAD – The No. 1 Copiah-Lincoln Wolfpack looked sluggish in the early going, but exploded for 58 unanswered points to take a 58-14 win over Mississippi Delta on Thursday night.

The Trojans scored 14 points in a two-minute span late in the first quarter to stun the Wolfpack and ignite the home crowd. The first score came on a 17-yard touchdown pass from Gregory Conley to Mike Williams. The two would hook up again later in the quarter, this time from 40 yards, to give Delta a 14-0 lead. In the first half Co-Lin lost two fumbles, one of them into the Delta end zone, and also had a botched punt snap that led to a turnover on downs.

Kruzcek also threw touchdown passes to Matias Robinson (11 yards) and Alexander Hollins (34 yards). Catchings capped the Co-Lin scoring with a 35-yard TD run in the fourth quarter.

The Co-Lin defense held the Trojan offense to 15 passing yards and 29 rushing yards in the second half. Freshman wide receiver DeAndre Barnes caught seven passes for 101 yards.
