Panthers feast on Rams
The Brookhaven Panthers clobbered the Provine Rams 18-0 in Jackson Tuesday night in a Region 6-5A matchup.
The Panthers (4-12, 3-1), coached by Randy Spring, will be looking to complete the division series sweep Friday when they host Provine for a varsity doubleheader starting at 5 p.m. at Moyer Field.

The Panthers quickly dominated the Rams, pounding out 18 runs in three innings of work.
Tate Walley was sharp on the mound for Brookhaven. He allowed Provine just one hit, while striking out six batters and did not give up a walk.
The Panthers easily handled Provine as six hitters combined for nine hits, 12 RBIs and 14 runs scored.
Tyler Mixon and Blaine Moak directed the Panthers with a triple and a single each. Brandon Henyard contributed two doubles. Jacob Porter provided two singles. Hitting safely were Logan Emfinger, Clint Stephens and Jon Mark Mathis.
