Mrs. Kitty Sasser, of Summit, announces the engagement of her daughter, Ashley Regan Sasser, to Thomas James Gray. She is also the daughter of the late Mr. Timothy Craig Sasser, of Summit.

He is the son of Mr. James Albert Gray Jr., of Tullahoma, Tennessee, and Mrs. Debbie Burdette Gray, of Columbia.

The bride-elect is the granddaughter Mr. and Mrs. Alvin Monette Moak, of Bogue Chitto, and Mr. and Mrs. Billy Sasser Sr., of Bogue Chitto.

The prospective groom is the grandson of Gwendoyln Smith Burdette, the late Thomas Lee Burdette, of Columbia, the late Itasca Holland Dilworth of Huntsville, Alabama, and the late James Albert Gray, Sr. of Sheffield, Alabama.

She is a graduate of North Pike High School in Summit and the University of Mississippi in Oxford where she earned her Bachelor of Arts in political science. She is a member of Kappa Kappa Gamma Sorority. She is the director of students activities and housing at Southwest Mississippi Community College in Summit.

He is a graduate of Columbia Academy. He earned his Bachelor of Science in business administration and a Master of Business Administration from Mississippi College in Clinton. He is the head coach of the Southwest Mississippi Community College Men’s Basketball team in Summit.

The couple will exchange vows on Saturday, Sept. 20 at 6 p.m. at First Baptist Church in Summit. The reception will follow at The McComb Mill.

All friends and relatives are invited to the wedding and the reception.
