NATCHEZ – Led by Thomas Garrity’s inside the park home run and some timely hitting, the Natchez Cathedral Green Wave beat the Franklin High Diamond Dawgs Tuesday night 22-2.

The Bulldogs play host to Cathedral Friday in Bude at 7.

Franklin High, who lost to the Green Wave 5-4 last week in the Lawrence County Tournament, saw it’s worst defeat to the Green Wave Tuesday in Natchez.

Garrity paced Cathedral’s attack with two singles and an inside the park home run. Freshmen Zac Flattman added a double and two singles.

Cathedral scored 10 runs in the second and 9 in the fourth for the final margin of victory.

Kade Clanton suffered the loss for the Bulldogs.
