Step right up and watch a Brookhaven Elementary School teacher kiss a pig at the BES Family Fun Carnival tonight.

The event begins at 5 p.m. and runs till 8 p.m. at BES on South Church Street. There will be inexpensive food and carnival games for children of all ages. All proceeds will go to the BES Parent Teacher Association.

The highlight of the event will be the kissing of a pig. The teacher whose class has raised the most money for Heifer International has agreed to kiss a pig at 7 p.m.

Heifer International is a non-profit organization whose mission is to end world hunger and poverty by supplying needy families across the world with animals that will supply both food and income.

The organization is based on the idea “If you give a man a fish he will eat for a day; if you teach a man to fish he will eat for a lifetime.”
