Tommy Clopton,  will be the offensive line coach on the Mississippi All-Star team.

“It’s an honor to be selected to coach in the Mississippi-Alabama All Star game, especially since this year is the first time it’s ever been played in Mississippi,” said Clopton. “The MHSAA, Mississippi Association of Coaches and the Mississippi National Guard have done a tremendous job to get the game in state. I look forward to the opportunity to get to know the players on the team and coach in the game at the University of Southern Mississippi on Dec. 12.”

Cole is currently the leader for the Cougars with 90 tackles in seven games played, for an average of 12.9 tackles per game.

Cole also provides a big threat offensively as he is among the top three in rushing with 323 yards on 40 carries with five touchdowns in seven games.

“T-Tez Cole is a great young man and player who is very deserving of this honor,” said Lawrence County coach Jaymie Palmer. “He is a hard-nosed, physical linebacker and coachable team player. Every time we need a big play he seems to make it. Cole has that it factor you don’t coach. T-Tez Cole is also a great baseball player too.”
