16 former Wolves take part in college football postseason

COLLEGEBOWLS.WEBWESSON – A total of 16 former Copiah-Lincoln football players are members of teams that have qualified for postseason football in 2014.

Former Wolf Joe Craig Jr. and the University of Memphis Tigers take on BYU in the Miami Beach Bowl on Monday, Dec. 22. Kickoff is at 2 p.m. ET on ESPN.

Former Wolf Carroll Phillips and the University of Illinois Illini take on Louisiana Tech in the Zaxby’s Heart of Dallas Bowl on Friday, Dec. 26. Kickoff is at 1 p.m. ET on ESPN.

Former Wolves Jerrell Jordan, Terrell Hartsfield, Casey Gladney, and the University of Cincinnati Bearcats will take on Virginia Tech in the Military Bowl on Saturday, Dec. 27. Kickoff is at 1 p.m. ET on ESPN.

Former Wolves Edward Muldrow, Stone Underwood, and the University of West Virginia Mountaineers take on Texas A&M in the AutoZone Liberty Bowl on Monday, Dec. 29. Kickoff is at 2 p.m. ET on ESPN.

Former Wolves Darrion Hutcherson, Jocquell Johsnon, and the Mississippi State Bulldogs take on Georgia Tech in the Capital One Orange Bowl on Wednesday, Dec. 31. Kickoff is at 3 p.m. ET on ESPN.

Former Wolf Xavier Dampeer and the Auburn Tigers take on Wisconsin in the Outback Bowl on Thursday, Jan. 1. Kickoff is at Noon ET on ESPN.

Former Wolf Greg Sims and the Delta State Statesmen concluded their season with a 37-27 loss to West Georgia in the second round of the Division II playoffs. The Statesmen were co-champions of the Gulf South Conference after going 6-1 in league play.

Former Wolves PJ Jarrett, DeVante Scott, AJ Bowen, Darrius Guy, Marquis Hayes, and the Southeastern Louisiana Lions concluded their season with a 21-17 loss to Sam Houston State in the first round of the FCS playoffs. The Lions won a second consecutive Southland Conference championship after going 7-1 in league play.
