Hill, Skipper, Samuels to play in MACJC All-Star game
ELLISVILLE – Six Jones County Junior College football players, three from the local area, have been chosen to participate in the 2015 MACJC All-Star Game.
The game will be held at 11:30 a.m. on Saturday at Biloxi Indian Stadium.
Bobcats chosen for the game are wide receiver/running back Tevin Moore of Stringer; quarterback Kelvin Bourrage of Kemper County; cornerback Nick Shields of Louisville; defensive tackle Johnkil Skipper of Hazlehurst; linebacker Ty Hill of Brookhaven and offensive guard Toriaun Samuels of Hazlehurst.
Moore (5-11, 205) had 15 receptions for 228 yards and one touchdown. He was also a short-yardage specialist as a running back, rushing 43 times for 199 yards and eight touchdowns.
Bourrage (6-1, 205) completed 35-of-74 passes for 396 yards and two touchdowns. He also played wide receiver during his two years at JCJC.
Shields (5-11, 175) had 11 tackles on the season. He also returned four punts and caught one pass for the Bobcats.
Skipper (6-0, 290) was a two-year starter. This season he played in six games, had 20 tackles, two tackles-for-loss, one sack and one interception.
Hill (6-0, 210) led the MACJC and is 10th in the NJCAA with 63 solo tackles, 33 assists and 96 total tackles (10.7 per game). He also had three tackles for loss and one fumble recovery.
Samuels (6-2, 310) was a two-year starter for the Bobcats.
