Lady Bears roast East Marion

The West Lincoln Lady Bears were victorious Tuesday night as they crushed the East Marion Lady Eagles 14-1 night in Region 6-2A softball action.
“The Lady Bears (4-2, 1-0) return to action Friday as they travel to Tylertown to take on the Tylertown Lady Chiefs. Junior varsity action starts at 5 p.m., followed by varsity action at 6 p.m.
West Lincoln 14, East Marion 1
The Lady Bears came out strong and quickly took care of business as they clobbered the Lady Eagles in four innings of action.
Malori Hall was the winning pitcher for West Lincoln with nine strikeouts and no walks.
Skyler Sistrunk took the loss for East Marion with no strikeouts and three walks.
Senior Destiny Allen powered the Lady Bears at the plate with a triple and a double. Layton Sills contributed a triple and a single. Hitting safely were Brianna Fauver, Millane Lewis, Hanna Moak, Karley Smith, Malori Hall, Alli Mullins and Heather Moak.
East Marion recorded only one hit for the game, which was a single by Layleen Carney.
In junior varsity action, West Lincoln edged East Marion 5-4.
Demesha Deer was the top hitter for West Lincoln with a triple.
