Funeral services for Lovell Oatis Sr. of New Orleans are 10 a.m. on Friday, March 14, 2014, at Deliverance Church of God in Christ, 1627 Montegut St., with burial in Rosehill Baptist Church Cemetery, Silver Creek, with military honors. The Rev. Frank Belton will be officiating. LittleJohn Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Visitation is Friday, March 14, 2014, from 9 a.m. until time of service.

Mr. Oatis died Thursday, March 6, 2014. He was the son of the late Lonnie Oatis and Maddie Price Oatis. Relatives and friends, also pastors, officers, and members of Devilerance Temple COGIC and neighboring churches, and employees of U.S. Department of Justice local 3957 are invited to attend the funeral services.

Preceding him in death were his parents.

Survivors are his children, Lovell (Ayesha) Oatis Jr., of New Orleans, Norvell Cambell and LaToya (Mikrel) Oatis Sanders, of Alexandria, La.; brother, Lonnie (Debra) Oatis; ten grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
