Funeral services for Garry Franklin Smith of the Pricedale community are 11 a.m. on Friday, Feb. 21, at Bogue Chitto Baptist Church at Carter’s Creek with burial in the church cemetery. Hartman-Sharkey Funeral Home of McComb is in charge of arrangements.

Visitation is Thursday from 5 until 8 p.m. at the funeral home and continues at the church on Friday from 10 until 11 a.m.

Mr. Smith, 67, died Feb. 18, 2014, at Southwest Mississippi Regional Medical Center. He was born Dec. 13, 1946, in Tater Patch, Ala., to Frank James and Imogene Johnson Smith. He was a retired cross-country truck driver.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a grandson, Chad Smith.

He is survived by his wife, Evelyn Dunaway Smith, of the Pricedale community; three children, Garry Wayne Smith of Calera, Ala., Malissa Smith and Bobby Smith of the Pricedale community; his mother-in-law, Edith Lacoste of Brookhaven; his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Carl and Kathy Dunaway of Pricedale; one brother, Frank Smith, Jr.; two sisters, Sandra Ann Giles and Carolyn Jean Hawes all of Alabama; ten grandchildren; one great-grandchild and numerous nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be Chris Rossi, Jarred Brooks, Devin Greco, Eric Smith, Codi Knight and Dickie Bennett.
