Funeral services for Willie Eugene Montgomery of Brookhaven are 11 a.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 11, at Riverwood Family Funeral Service with burial in Little Bahalia Baptist Church Cemetery.

Visitation is Monday from 5 until 8 p.m. at the funeral home.

Mr. Montgomery, 83, died Feb. 7, 2014, at his residence. He was born on May 30, 1930, to Huey Montgomery and Edna Armstrong Montgomery.

He was a former owner of Montgomery’s Department Store in Brookhaven. He was a member of Little Bahalia Baptist Church.

He is preceded in death by his wife of 56 years, Martha Belcher Montgomery; his parents; son, Billy Montgomery; brothers, Edwin Gordon Montgomery and Charles Montgomery; granddaughter, Melissa Beverly; and a great-grandchild, John Phillip Pollan.

He is survived by his son, Kenneth Eugene Montgomery and wife, Virginia, of Picayune; his daughters, Linda Montgomery Bumpers and husband, the Rev. Phillip Bumpers of Grenada, Susan Montgomery Kyzar of McComb and Marilyn Montgomery Russell of Atlanta. He is also survived by 13 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
