Icy roads delay Thursday games

Today’s basketball games have been postponed due to icy roads remaining in rural areas and also for the schools’ opponents. Each school has rescheduled their games and announced their make up dates.

Bogue Chitto will visit Hinds AHS Monday, Feb 10, for a varsity double header beginning at 6 p.m.

Wesson has pushed their game to Saturday and will host the Wilkinson County Wildcats at the Snake Pit for two games, starting at 2 p.m. for the girls, followed by the boys at 3:30 p.m.

Coach/athletic director Ronald Greer said the Wesson’s soccer boys would start their playoff run on the road Saturday as they invade Madison to battle the St. Andrews Saints. Game time is set for 4 p.m.

The Co-Lin Wolves and Lady Wolves have postponed tonight’s game against Gulf Coast until Friday afternoon. The women will tip off at 4:30 p.m. and the men at 6:30.

Southwest has rescheduled their basketball game against Jones County for Saturday beginning at 3 p.m. for the women, followed by the men’s game at 4:45.

Brookhaven Academy will play basketball today at Amite School Center in Liberty.

Several school officials and administrators have confirmed that all Friday games will remained as scheduled.
