Sheridell ‘Biddy’ Robinson

Funeral services for Sheridell “Biddy” Robinson of Brookhaven are 10 a.m. on Saturday, Dec. 7 at Ebenezer AME Church with the Rev. Andrew Stamps officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Tyler Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Visitation is Friday from noon until 6 p.m. at the funeral home.
Mr. Robinson, 83, died Dec. 2, 2013, at his residence. He was born June 1, 1930, in Lincoln County to Elige and Callie Robinson.
He was retired from the U.S. Army. He was later employed at the local mobile home plant, Tyler Funeral Home Inc. and Abrams Mercantile in Brookhaven. He was a member of the Ebenezer AME Church where he served as trustee, steward and treasurer for a number of years.
Preceding him in death were his wife, Theola “Polly” Bryant Robinson; his parents; siblings, Curtis Robinson, Will Henry Robinson, and Dorothy (Dot) Lewis, and his son, Melvin Jones.
Survivors are his daughter, Robin Silas; grandson, Jonhathan Silas (Antoinette) of Clinton; great-grandson, Jonathan Silas Jr. of Clinton; his brothers, Lidge Robinson and Johnny Robinson (Madeline) of Greenville; four sisters-in-law, Christine Crossley, of Lubbock, Texas, Earline Corey (Cecil) of Pittsburg, Calif., Learline Bryant and Elaine Robinson; two brothers-in-law, NZ Bryant (Ruby) of Jackson and Silas Lewis of Monticello.
