This year’s Christmas parade is planned to run as scheduled, said Kay Burton, marketing director for the Brookhaven-Lincoln County Chamber of Commerce.

The official time of the parade was under advisement due to potentially inclement weather. City and chamber officials met Tuesday morning to confirm that the parade will go ahead at its scheduled time of Thursday at 7 p.m.

However, there may be a possible weather delay based on advisement by Clifford Galey, director of Lincoln County Emergency Management/Civil Defense, said Burton.
