Funeral services for Douglas Michael Scott of Brookhaven are 11 a.m. on Monday, Nov. 25, at Pleasant Hill Baptist Church with burial in the church cemetery.
Visitation is Sunday from 6 p.m. until 9 p.m. at the church with lie in state Monday from 10 a.m. until 11 a.m.
Mr. Scott, 50, died Nov. 20, at King’s Daughters Medical Center. He was born June 22, 1963, to Donald Wayne Scott and Dorothy Ann Scott.
He was previously employed by Freedom Communications as a Quality Assurance Specialist, prior to being disabled.
He was a member of Pleasant Hill Baptist Church and Knights of Columbus and was a Boy Scout Leader.
He is preceded in death by his parents.
He is survived by his wife, Natasha Furlow Scott; sons, Forrest Randall Scott, Michael Christian Scott, Patrick Allen Scott and Devin Marcus Sloan; and brothers, Dennis Gerald Scott, David Kevin Scott, Daniel Leo Scott and Donald James Scott. He is also survived by his mother-in-law, Evelyn Summers and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Bank of Brookhaven under wife, Natasha Scott, in honor of his sons, Forrest, Michael and Patrick Scott.
