The defending 2A state champions Bassfield Yellowjackets flexed their muscles and shut out their hosts, the Enterprise Yellow Jackets, 54-0 Friday night in Region 7-2A football action at Harry Cole Field.

“Bassfield has very impressive football team,” said Enterprise coach Brooks Burns. “They are … fast on both sides on the ball. Our guys shocked at first, but continued to play hard and finished strong. Overall, I was pleased with my guys’ effort. They did not quit. Now, we must regroup and start preparing for our Lincoln County rivals.”

Senior running back Neil Ratcliff was the offensive leader for Enterprise with 37 yards rushing on 12 carries. Jackson Cole contributed 13 rushes for 23 yards.
