“We did a great job with the bats, collecting 14 hits in for the game,” said Co-Lin coach Allen Kent. “Brooke did a good job of staying ahead in the count. We had a bad hop error and a couple of balls that should have been caught in the outfield, but otherwise played solid defense.

Porter paced the hitting barrage with 3 singles and 2 runs scored. Hux and Romero each doubled and singled for 2 RBI. Every Co-Lin starter had at least one hit as the Lady Wolves pounded out 14 hits. “Again, I was very pleased with our offense as we kept getting it done with runners in scoring position, ” said Kent. “Twenty-eight hits in 11 innings is big. We showed a lot of discipline at the plate.
” We collected 6 or 7 hits off of changeups on the day. It was good to come out and execute this well after not having played in 11 days due to rainouts.”
