Funeral services for Blanche Newell Walker, of Brookhaven, are10 a.m. on Tuesday, June 15, at Mt. Zion Baptist Church inBrookhaven, with burial in the church cemetery. Brookhaven FuneralHome on Natchez Drive is in charge of arrangements.

Visitation is Monday from 5 until 8 p.m. at the funeral home, andon Tuesday at the church from 9 a.m. until the time of theservice.

Mrs. Walker, 90, died June 12, 2010, at her residence. She was bornin Lincoln County on Aug. 27, 1919, to William Decatur Newell andMartha Newell Newell.

She was a homemaker and a former beautician, and a member of Mt.Zion Baptist Church for 77 years.

Preceding her in death were her parents; her husband, RobertWalker; her brothers, Marion Newell, Burton Newell, Rudolph Newelland Lee Newell; and her sisters, Amye Montgomery, MaebellBritt.

She is survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
