A drug search initiated by the Southwest Mississippi Narcotics Task Force yielded more arrests than anticipated Sunday night, said Lincoln County Sheriff Steve Rushing.

Law enforcement officers went to 1075 Highway 550 looking for Ricky Parker, the subject of a search warrant obtained by the narcotics task force. Lincoln County deputies and Brookhaven Police Department officers aided the task force in securing and searching the house, beginning about 6 p.m. Sunday evening, Rushing said.

The search discovered powder cocaine, crack cocaine, various pills and $4,700 in cash in Parker’s possession, Rushing said.
