Hodges leads Ole Brook to win over Lawrence Co.

Senior pitcher Terri Hodges fanned 12 batters and allowed nowalks Thursday night to lead the host Brookhaven Lady Panthers to a5-1 division win over the Lawrence County Lady Cougars.
br>Absorbing the loss was Jessica Alexander with 5 strikeoutsand 3 walks.
Brookhaven participates in the Clinton Tournament Saturday.Lawrence County invades Petal.
“We started off fast and held on at the end,” said Brookhavencoach Chad Walker. “Terri pitched an outstanding game.”
Brookhaven went up 3-0 in the first inning and added 2 more runsin the third for the 5-0 lead. Lawrence County scored its only runin the top of the seventh.
Sparking the Lady Panthers with a double and a single wasSabrina Delaughter. Katie Stewart doubled. Brittany Bateman, StevieWright and Hodges singled.
“It was a great game,” said Lawrence County coach BeronicaStringfellow. “Terri Hodges pitched a good game. We shut downBrookhaven as the game went on. But we waited too late on ourhitting to come back.”

Lawrence County knocked off Brookhaven 7-4. Megan Brown was theinning pitcher with 3 strikeouts and 3 walks. Brooke Hosick tookthe loss with 2 strikeouts and 7 walks.
Madeline Delaughter led Brookhaven with a triple. Dana Herringand Eric Bridwell doubled. Sarah Ayers and Hosick singled.
Leading Lawrence Count with a double and a single was KaylaBoyd. Mary Marget McLaurin doubled. Brown singled twice. DaphneArmstrong, Destiny Jackson and Macy Givens singled.
