Services for James D. Case of Myrtle, were held Saturday, Aug.9, at Senter Funeral Home Chapel with burial in the VeteransCemetery in Corinth.
Mr. Case, 68, died Wednesday, Aug. 6, 2003, at Baptist MemorialHospital-North Mississippi in Oxford.
He was born in Lincoln County on May 18, 1935, to James Vernonand Genevieve Smith Case.
He was a graduate of Loyd Star Attendance Center and laterearned both bachelor’s and master’s degrees. He served in the U.S.Army, Company B, 4th Army, Korea-ASA 377. He was retired fromGeneral Motors, where he worked in quality control. He was a memberof the Baptist faith.
Preceding him in death was his father.
Survivors are his wife, Martha Cromeans Case of Myrtle; hismother, Genevieve Case of Brookhaven; his brother, Frank D. Case ofBrookhaven; and his sister, Pauline Sandidge of Rayville, La.
A memorial service is planned for Saturday, Aug. 23, at 3 p.m.at Friendship Baptist Church.
