INDEPENDENCE, La. – Riko Palomarez poured in 26 points andAustin Everett scored 19 in leading the Enterprise Yellow Jacketsto a 68-43 Monday victory over Independence in the Independencetournament.

The Jackets (4-3) raced to a 43-24 halftime lead.

“We hustled real well and gave a good effort,” said Enterprisecoach John Knight. “We played a pretty good game.”

Independence, a Class 3A school, is coached by former BHS mentorRonald Hines.

South Pike and Sumner (La.) also are entered in the tournament.The Jackets play Sumner today at 5:30 p.m.
