RAYMOND – The Co-Lin Lady Wolves tennis team remained undefeated by defeating the Hinds Lady Eagles 8-1 in recent tennis action.

Co-Lin’s only loss came at No. 1 singles as Maria Castrillo of Hinds defeated Co-Lin’s Melody Smith 6-1, 6-1. In a close match at No. 3 singles, Co-Lin’s Haley Wicker rallied to defeat Annissa Johnson of Hinds 3-6, 6-2 (11-9).

In other singles action, Co-Lin’s No. 2 Abby Morris defeated Latoya Whitley of Hinds 6-1, 6-0. Courtney Watts defeated Octavia Pendleton of Hinds 6-3, 6-1 at No. 4, Madison Rials defeated Ashley Nowell of Hinds 6-1, 6-2 at No. 5, and Meredith Allen won at No. 6 by default.

In doubles action, No. 1 Abby Morris/Haley Wicker defeated Maria Castrillo/Latoya Whitley 8-6 and No. 2 Melody Smith/Madison Rials defeated Annissa Johnosn/Octavia Pendleton 8-5. At No. 3 doubles, Courtney Watts/Meredith Allen won by default.

Co-Lin travels to Ellisville to take on the Jones County Lady Bobcats on Thursday, March 28, beginning at 2 p.m.4
