Services for Homer Evans of Brookhaven are 10 a.m., Tuesday,Oct. 14, at Brookhaven Funeral Home Chapel with burial in NewProspect Baptist Church Cemetery.

Visitation is Monday from 5-8 p.m., at the funeral home.

Mr. Evans, 84, died Oct. 12, 2003, at Meadville Nursing Home. Hewas born in Brookhaven on Sept. 20, 1919, to Hilary Evans andLoucretia Porter Evans.

He was retired from Kellwood Company, and was a World War II AirForce veteran. He was a member of New Prospect Baptist Church.

Preceding him in death were his parents; and a son, Clyde NeilEvans.

Survivors are his wife, Inez McNeil Evans of Brookhaven; hisdaughter, Marjorie Kathy Evans of Fayetteville, Ark.; his sons,John Richard Evans of Clinton, and Homer Joseph Evans of Austin,Texas; his sister, Lucille Ashley of Ridgecrest, La.; sevengrandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
