Panthers bash South Pike

MAGNOLIA – Miguel Banks pitched a 4-hitter and Daniel Boydslugged a 2-run homer in leading the Brookhaven Panthers to a 12-1Tuesday trouncing of the South Pike Eagles in Division 6-4A action.Banks gave up 1 run on 4 hits in the 5-inning game. He struck out 6batters and walked 6.
The Panther (4-2, 1-0), coached by Randy Spring, host South PikeFriday for a division doubleheader on Moyer Field.
James McCall had 2 hits for Brookhaven. Josh Andersondoubled and singled.
Cayce Wallace, Fred Perkins, Aaron Oberschmidt, KernHoff and Banks hit safely for Brookhaven.
The Panthers took a 4-0 lead in the top of the first andled 9-0 in the third. Tramonsky Seals was the losingpitcher.
