Graveside services for Mildred Noble Covington, of Brookhaven,are 4 p.m. today, March 3 at Rosehill Cemetery.
Visitation is today from 2-3:30 p.m. at Harrigill FuneralHome.
Mrs. Covington, 91, died March 1, 2005, at Silver Cross NursingHome. She was born in Franklin County on March 25, 1913, to RufusWatson Noble and Josie Oliver Noble.
She was a retired beautician and owner of Haven Beauty Nook forover 60 years. She was a member of Faith Presbyterian Church. Sheis a former member of the Daughters of the American Revolution andthe Pilot Club.
Preceding her in death were her parents; her husband, Cyrus”Hugh” Covington; two brothers, Garland W. Noble and Rufus NobleJr.; and six sisters, Josie Mae Dillard, Mary Sylvester, MerleNoble, Ruth Collinson, Anell Noble, and Nita Verne Smith.
Survivors are her sisters, Claudia L. Kenney and Jeanette N.Haag, both of Brookhaven; and a host of nieces and nephews whocalled her “Great Mildred.”
