Services for Plez Crane of Brookhaven were 11 a.m., Thursday, atAntioch Baptist Church in Lawrence County with burial in AntiochCemetery. Harrigill Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Crane, 88, died Aug. 5, 2003, at King’s Daughters MedicalCenter. He was born in Lincoln County on May 14, 1915, to WyattCrane and Evie Crane.

He was a retired rural postal worker and farmer. He was a memberof Antioch Baptist Church for 62 years and served as a deacon for58 years. He was a mason with the Fair River Lodge.

Preceding him in death were his parents.

Survivors are his wife of 65 years, Pauline McGuffie Crane ofBrookhaven; his daughter and son-in-law, Bertile and Bill Beasleyof Brookhaven; his sons and daughters-in-law, James Earl and AnnaCrane, and Charles R. and Wanda Crane, all of Brookhaven; 8grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; threegreat-great-grandchildren; and four stepgrandchildren.
