Services for Nell Wallace Brown of Jena, La., were 10 a.m.,Monday, July 12, at Hartman Funeral Home in McComb with burial inMontgomery Cemetery.

Visitation was Sunday from 5-9 p.m. and Monday from 8 a.m. untilthe service, at the funeral home. The Rev. Bob Lynchofficiated.

Mrs. Brown, 85, died July 10, 2004, at LaSalle Nursing Home inJena. She was born in Lincoln County on Oct. 5, 1918, to Whit andGladys Wallace.

She was retired from the McComb City Hospital. She was a memberof Montgomery Baptist Church.

Preceding her in death were her parents; her husband, Earl LeeBrown; four sisters, Thelma Redd, Reba Brown, Hilda Price and MarieBrown; and one brother, J.C. Wallace.

Survivors are her daughter, Kay Lanelle Brown Johnson ofMetairie, La.; three sons, Danny Earl Brown Sr. and his wifeDarlene, of Jena, Garry Dean Brown and his wife Patsy, of Osyka,and C.E. (Eddie) Brown of Bogue Chitto; one sister, Helen Laird; 12grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces andnephews.

Pallbearers were Jonathan Johnson, Ethan Brown, Dale Brown,Jason Johnson, Jeremy Brown, J.C. Brown, Danny E. Brown Jr. andJustin Brown.
