Services for John Lannie Allred, of Bogue Chitto, are 11 a.m.,Monday, July 18 at Adams United Methodist Church with burial in thechurch cemetery. The Revs. Charles Brister and Hugh Holder-Cummingswill officiate the services.
Visitation is today from 5-8 p.m. at Hartman Funeral Home.
Mr. Allred, 84, died July 16, 2005, at Southwest MississippiRegional Medical Center in McComb. He was born in Lincoln County onJan. 21, 1921, to Tom and Georgia Allred.
He was self-employed. He was a member of Adams United MethodistChurch and the John A. Quitman Lodge.
Preceding him in death were his parents; his wife of 58 years,Ethel Lee Johnston Allred; his son-in-law, Ricky Vestal; and fourbrothers, Pearlie, Troy, LeRoy and Cliff Allred.
Survivors are his son and daughter-in-law, Danny Ray and JoyceAllred, of Bogue Chitto; his daughter, Linda Kaye Vestal, ofNatchez; three brothers, Rayford Allred, of Natchez, KennethAllred, of Bogue Chitto, and Larry Allred, of Summit; his sisters,Irene O’Brien, of McComb, Margarete Berry, of Bogue Chitto, andMary Scott, of Liberty; his grandchildren and grandchildren-in-law,Dana and Wesley Howard, Dawn and Lionel Rymer, and Monica and EddieBeach; and his great-grandchildren, Daniel and Kelli Howard, Jamie,Cristin and Stratton Rymer, and Drue, Danae and Darby Beach.
Pallbearers will be Thomas Allred, Tim Allred, Brad Fauver,Butch Case, Greg Maxwell, Tom Maxwell, Stan Long and BlakeFenn.
