Funeral services for Virgil E. Smith, of Wesson, are 10 a.m. onWednesday, Dec. 1, at Riverwood Family Funeral Service Chapel, withburial in Sweetwater United Methodist Church Cemetery. Visitationis Tuesday from 5 until 8 p.m. at the funeral home.

Mr. Smith, 97, died Nov. 29, 2010, at Franklin County MemorialHospital in Meadville. He was born in Mississippi on Dec. 30, 1912,to Print Smith and Beulah Kimble Smith.

He was a retired supervisor of Copiah County District Three for 28years, and a retired cattle farmer. He was a Mason and a formerboard member of Southwest Mississippi Power Association. He was amember of Sweetwater United Methodist Church.

Preceding him in death were his parents; his first wife, AugustaSmith; and his second wife, Inez Smith.

Survivors are his sisters-in-law; Wisie smith and Jean Smith; and ahost of nieces, nephews and other relatives. The family extends aspecial thanks to his caregivers.

Memorials may be made to the Sweetwater United Methodist ChurchCemetery Fund.
