Services for Clayton C. Brister Sr., of Jayess, are 1 p.m.Friday, Nov. 20, at Topeka Baptist Church with burial in RobertsMemorial Cemetery in Jayess. Wilson Funeral Home is in charge ofarrangements.
Visitation is Thursday from 5 until 9 p.m. at the church.
Mr. Brister, 72, died Nov. 17, 2009, at the University ofMississippi Medical Center in Jackson. He was born on Aug. 21,1937, to Connie Brister and Sarah Dunaway.
He was owner and welder of B & S Welding. Mr. Brister servedin the U.S. Air Force. He was a member of Topeka Baptist Church andalso the Tilton Hunting Club.
Preceding him in death were his parents; a son, Jackie Brister;a brother, Purvis Brister; and a sister, Azemmer Brister Coon.
Survivors are his wife, Corinne Sartin Brister; his sons,Clayton Brister Jr. and Curt Brister and wife, Belinda KingBrister, all of Monticello; his daughters, Sonya Brister Smith, ofMcComb, and Theresa Brister Landry and husband, Joey, ofPonchatoula, La.; a brother, Ervin Dean Brister Jr., of Jayess; hissisters, Joyce Brister Honea, of Magnolia, Connie Mae Brister Clarkand Izettie Brister Carney, both of the Gulf Coast; his eightgrandchildren; his eight great-grandchildren; his stepchildren,Larry and Terrie Sartin, Gerald and Beth Sartin, all of Jackson,Craig and Linda Sartin, of the Gulf Coast, and Bruce and KimSartin, of Jackson; his 12 step-grandchildren; and his 12step-great-grandchildren.
