Services for Mazie L.T. Butler of Bogue Chitto are 2 p.m.Monday, Nov. 5, at Mt. Zion Baptist Church with burial in thechurch cemetery.

Visitation is Sunday, Nov. 4, from 1-7 p.m. with family hourfrom 7-8 p.m. at Williams Mortuary.

Mrs. Butler, 79, died Wednesday, Oct. 31, 2001, at BaptistMemorial Medical Center in New Orleans. She was born in LincolnCounty on Dec. 12, 1921, to the late J.T. and Aeneva Terrell.

She was a retired cafeteria worker for Lincoln County PublicSchools. She was a member of Mt. Zion Baptist Church, where she wasa member of the Senior Choir and served as treasurer of the missionfund.

Preceding her in death were her parents; husband, L.C. “Peter”Butler; brothers, W.D. Terrell, Earnest Terrell and L.C. Terrell;and a sister, Cleo Terrell.

Survivors are her sons, Tommy Butler of Compton, Calif., L.C.Butler of Sacramento, Calif., and Ivy Joe Butler of Gastonia, N.C.;daughters, Rose Mary Butler and Elaine Butler, both of Baton Rouge,La.; brothers, Leslie Terrell and James Terrell, both of BogueChitto, Richard Terrell of McComb, Leo Terrell of Brookhaven andJ.T. Terrell of Natchez; sisters, Mary Allen of Bogue Chitto andAline Terrell of Brookhaven; 14 grandchildren; and 11great-grandchildren.
