Services for David Webb of Meadville are 10 a.m., Tuesday, Sept.24, at First Baptist Church of Bude with burial in Webbs Camp atMcCall Creek. The Rev. Webb Armstrong and the Rev. Mike Carrawaywill conduct the services.
Visitation is today from 5-9 p.m. at Franklin Funeral Home andTuesday from 9-10 a.m. at the church.
Mr. Webb, 66, died Sept. 21, 2002, at King’s Daughters MedicalCenter in Brookhaven. He was born in Winston County on Aug. 17,1936, to James D. Webb and Virginia Watson Webb.
He was the owner, editor and publisher of the Franklin Advocatein Meadville. He was a member of First Baptist Church of Bude. Heserved in the U. S. Army.
Preceding him in death were his parents.
Survivors are his wife, Mary Lou Jones Webb of Meadville; hisdaughters, Marsha Webb of Meadville and Heather Webb Jacobs ofReston, Va.; his brother, Walter Webb of Brownsville, Tenn.; hissister, Sandra Gould of Ft. Worth, Texas; and his granddaughters,Peyton Jacobs and Ainsley Jacobs, both of Reston, Va.
Pallbearers will be James Newman, Bobby Moak, Wendell Boyte,David Campbell, Jimmy Jones, George Collins, Gary Bennett, AlJohnson, Dale Sterling, and Bill Jacobs. Honorary pallbearers willbe his Sunday school class.
