Fannie Mae Bales, 83, of Summit, died May 16, 2010, at SouthwestMississippi Regional Medical Center in McComb.

She was born Feb. 18, 1927, in Ferriday, La., to Willis and LydiaBrister Allen.

She was a retired seamstress with McComb Manufacturing.

She is preceded in death by her parents and her sister, FloraHall.

She is survived by her husband of 63 years, William “Buck” Bales,of Summit; her son and daughter-in-law, Ronald and Donna Bales, ofSummit; her daughter and son-in-law, Shelia and Billy Boyd, ofSummit; her sisters, Joan Renfro and Georgia Fields, of BatonRouge, La.; her grandsons, Jason Boyd, Eric Bales, and Daniel Balesand wife Dedra, of Bogue Chitto; her granddaughter, Stacy Wishartand husband, Thomas; her great-grandsons, Zack Boyd, Levi Wishartand J.K. Bales; her great-granddaughters, Brittany Boyd and GrayceBales; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation is Monday at Hartman-Sharkey Funeral Home in McComb from5 until 9 p.m., and on Tuesday from 10 a.m. until services at 11a.m., with Dr. Larry LeBlanc officiating. Burial will be inWoodlawn cemetery.

Pallbearers are Billy Boyd, Zachary Boyd, Jason Boyd, Daniel Bales,Eric Bales and Bruce Bales.
