Services for Conely Peavey, of Jayess, were 4 p.m. Wednesday,Aug. 31 at Wilson Funeral Home Chapel in Monticello with burial inDivide Cemetery.

Mr. Peavey, 72, died Aug. 28, 2005, at Southwest MississippiMedical Center in McComb. He was born on Sept. 16, 1932, to WalterPeavey and Luna Bell Lambert Peavey.

He retired as an E7 from the Navy. He was a member of MonticelloBaptist Church.

Preceding him in death were his parents; three sisters; onebrother; three children; and one grandchild.

Survivors are his wife, Olene Peavey, of Jayess; his daughter,Brenda Adcock, of Jayess; his sons, Kevin Peavey, of Jayess, andWayne Peavey, of Sontag; his sister, Wauline Langford, of Slidell,La.; his brother, Willie Earl Peavey, of Metairie, La.; and ninegrandchildren.
