Services for Nell S. Smith, of Brookhaven, are 4 p.m. Monday,July 2, at Brookhaven Funeral Home on Natchez Drive with burial inMatthews Chapel Methodist Church Cemetery in Brookhaven.
Visitation is Monday from 1 until 4 p.m. at the funeralhome.
Mrs. Smith, 88, passed away June 29, 2007, at her residence. Shewas born in Copiah County on July 22, 1918, to William M. Smith andBeulah Sasser Smith.
She was a homemaker. She was a member of Sweetwater MethodistChurch.
Preceding her in death were her parents; her husband Virgil T.Smith; her brothers Willie, Miller, Howell, Mack, Paul, Leonard andPat Smith; her sister Mayme Smith Britt; and her son-in-law GradyJones Jr.
Survivors are her daughters Bobby June Smith Jones, ofHazlehurst, Betty Butler and husband Ralph, of Florence, JeanetteWatts and husband Ronny, of Brookhaven; her sister, Johnnie PearlSmith, of Brookhaven; grandchildren Vann Edward Jones, and wifeRobbin, Craig Smith Jones and wife Melissa, Neill David Jones,Bradley Gene Watts and wife Wendy, and Blake Edgar Watts and wifeChristina; her great-grandchildren Nathan Jones, Brendan Jones,Jourdan Marie Jones, Marty Jones, Meagan Jones, Micah Jones, WillWatts, Whitney Brooke Watts, Avery Anna Watts; and a host of niecesand nephews.
