Experiencing the excitement of snow through the eyes of a4-year-old is a memory that will last a lifetime for me.Granddaughter Hayley shared Laila and Riley with me last week andduring their visit, we awoke to a winter wonderland.
Laila and I donned boots and coats and had a great time going tothe post office, throwing snowballs at each other. Later, Hayleyand Laila built a snowman while Riley and I had our own specialtime together.
At noon, Postmaster Kelly Brown came to “borrow Laila to play inthe snow.” By this time Laila had made snow angels and educatedMrs. Kelly about life. However, I am glad the snow lasted for ashort time and we can get back to real life in Mississippi.

On Valentine’s Day, our young people hosted a Valentine Banquet andreally did a wonderful job serving delicious food. They sang ourspecial music in the morning service and we sat in awe at what ishappening with these young people. Donations for camp were acceptedand hopefully, they have enough to go to camp this summer.
Our pastor came down with a virus early last Sunday and called onFarran Smith to speak to us at morning worship hour. Farran citedexamples of how we learn to love from Gen. 50:14 and Luke 7:36-50.He gave us the challenge of how to show love to and for eachother.
“What does love look like? It has the hands to help others. It hasthe feet to hasten to the poor and needy. It has the eyes to seemisery and want. It has the ears to hear the signs and sorrows ofmen. That is what love looks like.” – Augustine.
