BHS honors soccer teams

Allison DeHuff and Domenick DiPaolo were named Most ValuablePlayers on Brookhaven High School’s soccer teams during Mondaynight’s awards banquet. DiPaolo is sophomore goalkeeper and DeHuffis a senior midfielder.
BHS boys coach Rob McCreary was named Division 6-4A Coach of theYear after directing the Panthers to the division championship. Hepresented other awards to Judson Langston, Most Improved OffensivePlayer; Ben Ross and David Easley, Most Improved Defense; TedrickRatcliff, Scholastic Award; Jamison Roane, Hustle Award; AaronOberschmidt, Panther Award;; Daniel Boyd and Josh Young, TeamCaptains; Ben Giust, Best Defensive Player; Matt McGehee, BestOffensive Player.
Sally Perkins coached the Lady Panthers to a runners-up finishin the division. Receiving special awards were Mitchell Waldon andAmy White, Team Captains; Devine Porter, Best Offensive Player;Angela DeLaughter, Best Defensive Player; Christi Autrey, MostImproved; Ashley Smith, Scholastic Award; and Courtney Dickey,Panther Award.
