4-0 Bobcats swamp Salem

SALEM — The undefeated Bogue Chitto Bobcats were unstoppableFriday night in their 53-14 Region 4-1A victory over the SalemWildcats.
Bogue Chitto (4-0, 4-0) collected 22 first downs and totaled 522yards on offense. Winless Salem (0-4, 0-4) finished with 200 totalyards and made 7 first downs.
“It was a big win for us to win on the road again,” said BogueChitto coach Gareth Sartin. “It was a good region win. The game wasa lot closer than the score would indicate.
“Cole Laird got a big interception in the third quarter when thescore was Bogue Chitto 27 and Salem 14. Seth hit Brian Robinson fora 60-yard touchdown that broke open the game. It changed themomentum.
” The offensive line did a great job,” added Sartin. “We wereable to control the line of scrimmage. The receivers are comingaround. The passing game is coming along. We are getting betterwith it.”
