Freddie Davis Barlow

Services for Freddie Davis Barlow, of Brookhaven, are 2 p.m.Friday, April 15 at Harrigill Funeral Home Chapel with burial inHazlehurst City Cemetery.

Visitation is today from 5-9 p.m. at the funeral home.

Mr. Barlow, 76, died April 12, 2005, at his residence. He wasborn in Carpenter on Oct. 6, 1928, to Walter Martin Davis and EttaJenkins Davis.

He was plant development manager for Movie Star Loungewear. Hewas a member of Smyrna Baptist Church.

Preceding him in death were his parents.

Survivors are his wife, Christine Woods Barlow, of Brookhaven;his sons, F. Maurice Barlow and his wife, Nita, and Carroll H.Barlow and his wife, Patsy, all of Brookhaven; his four sisters,Sue Thomas and her husband, Roy, Willa “Billie Cochran and herhusband, Merlin, Wanda Hinton and her husband, Durwood, all ofBeaumont, and Margie Barlow Hamilton, of Hazlehurst; her threebrothers, W. Ray Davis and his wife, Patricia, Walter M. Davis andhis wife, Sharron, and G.W. Davis and his wife, Elaine, all ofBeaumont; five grandchildren, Bryan Barlow, Brooks Barlow, ChristyBritt, Misty Barlow and Jonathan Barlow; and fivegreat-grandchildren.

Myrtle Arlone Watson Ezell

Services for Myrtle Arlone Watson Ezell, of Meadville, were 11a.m. today, April 14 at Franklin Funeral Home Chapel in Meadvillewith burial in Eddiceton Cemetery.

Mrs. Ezell, 88, died April 12, 2005, at Franklin MemorialHospital in Meadville. She was born in Franklin County on Dec. 11,1916, to John L. Watson and Mary Emma McCaa Watson.

She was a homemaker. She was a member of Eddiceton BaptistChurch.

Preceding her in death were her parents; her husband, ArchieEzell; one son; one grandson; five brothers; and four sisters.

Survivors are her four daughters, Evelyn Jean Mitchell, ofEddiceton, Mary Ann Dukes, of Tennessee, Barbara Sue Lewis, ofVicksburg, and Hilda Maulene Whittington, of Ferriday, La.; herthree sons, Grady Ezell, of Metaroe, La., Claude Rudolph Ezell, ofMeadville, and Ken Ezell, of Natchez; 21 grandchildren; 46great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.

Roy Jason ‘Theddie’ Hudson

Services for Roy Jason ‘Theddie’ Hudson, of New Hebron, are 11a.m. Saturday, April 16 at Oakridge M.B. Church with burial in thechurch cemetery.

Visitation is Friday from noon until 8 p.m., with family hourfrom 7-8 p.m. at Williams Mortuary.

Mr. Hudson, 30, died April 9, 2005, at Jefferson Davis CommunityHospital. He was born in Lawrence County on Jan. 16, 1975, toCurtis Brown Sr. and Audrey “Sue” Brown.

He was a hydroblasting foreman for Circle S. Inc. He was amember of Oakridge M.B. Church.

Preceding him in death was his brother, Charlie Brown.

Survivors are his parents; his wife, Charlotte R. Hudson, of NewHebron; his son, Orlando Hudson, of New Hebron; his two daughters,Yolanda Hudson and Breanna Hudson, both of New Hebron; hisgrandfather, M.L. Hudson, of Bogue Chitto; his eight brothers, PaulCarter and his wife, Trina, of New Hebron, Greg Hudson, ofBrookhaven, Pharis Brown and David Brown, both of Jayess, CalvinBrown, of Tickfaw, La., Edward Brown, of Jayess, and Charles Brownand Curtis Brown Jr., both of Ponchatoula, La.; his four sisters,Karen Hartwell, of Silver Creek, Gelinda Hudson, of Monticello,Laura Jackson, of Hammond, La., and Terease Hinds, of Ponchatoula;and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Robert Eugene Lee Jr.

Services for Robert Eugene Lee Jr., of McComb, are 2 p.m. today,April 14 at Hartman Funeral Home of McComb.

Visitation is today from 1-2 p.m. at the funeral home.

Mr. Lee, 77, died April 11, 2005, at Southwest Regional MedicalCenter in McComb. He was born in St. Louis, Mo., on May 16, 1927,to Robert E. Lee Sr. and Winnie Allen Lee Linton.

He was retired from the Navy and as a park ranger for Percy QuinState Park.

Preceding him in death were his parents; two brothers, Allen Leeand James Linton; and a sister, Shirley Lee.

Survivors are his wife, Masumi Lee, of McComb; his sons, HajimeLee and his wife Pati, of Wichita, Kan., Roy Lee and his wife,Janie, of McComb, and Eugene Lee and his wife, Kelly, of Orlando,Fla.; his daughters, Polly Deer and her husband, Denver, of Summit,and Ann Del Mastro and her husband, Paul, of Palm Coast, Fla.;seven grandchildren, Nancy Gay, Clint Deer, Christy Lee, Amy LeeHayes, Jason Lee, Alyssa Lee and Amber Del Mastro; threegreat-grandchildren, Chris, Cody and Cory Young; and numerousnieces and nephews.

Edith Loyd

Services for Edith Loyd, of Port Gibson, are 11 a.m. Friday,April 15 at Unity Baptist Church with burial in the churchcemetery. Community Funeral Services is in charge ofarrangements.

Visitation is Friday from 9-11 a.m. at the church.

Mrs. Loyd, 86, died April 12, 2005, at River Region MedicalCenter in Vicksburg. She was born in Copiah County on March 6,1919, to Robert Kimble and Ruey Dixon.

She was a homemaker.

Preceding her in death were her parents; and her husband, RalphLoyd.

Survivors are her sons, Larry Loyd, Lacey Loyd and GeraldSaxon.

Carl Edward Rutland

Services for Carl Edward Rutland, of Statham, Ga., are 11 a.m.Saturday, April 16 at Calvary United Pentecostal Church in Jayesswith burial in Providence Cemetery. Community Funeral Services isin charge of arrangements.

Visitation begins Friday at 5 p.m. at the church.

Mr. Rutland, 45, died April 12, 2005, in Statham. He was born onMay 27, 1959, to Paul Edward Rutland and Mary Nell Rutland.

Preceding him in death was his mother.

Survivors are his father; his wife, Joy Rutland, of Statham; hisdaughters, Carla Miller and Christy O’Kelly, both of Gainsville,Ga.; his son, Wesley Rutland, of Tendergrass, Ga.; and his stepson,Austin Collins, of Statham.

Johnnie Shelton

Services for Johnnie Shelton, of Bogue Chitto, are 2 p.m.Saturday, April 16 at Mt. Zion M.B. Church in Bogue Chitto withburial in the church cemetery.

Visitation is Friday from noon until 6 p.m. at R.E. TylerFuneral Home.

Mr. Shelton, 83, died April 10, 2005, at Southwest MississippiRegional Medical Center in McComb. He was born in Arkansas on Feb.22, 1922, to Gladys Shelton and Mary Shelton.

He was a former employee of Allis Chalmers in Milwaukee, Wisc.He served in the Army and in World War II. He was a member of Mt.Zion M.B. Church in Bogue Chitto.

Preceding him in death were his parents.

Survivors are his wife, Ida Shelton, of Bogue Chitto; hisdaughter, Judy Ross, of Las Vega, Nev.; and his brother, ErmanShelton, of Los Angeles, Calif.

Olivia Nelson ‘Mama Liva’ Stovall

Mrs. Stovall, 73, died April 9, 2005, at the University ofMississippi Medical Center in Jackson. She was born in LincolnCounty on March 13, 1932, to Sims Nelson Sr. and Effie ArnoldNelson.

She was a disabled. She was a member of St. James M.B.Church.

Preceding her in death were her parents; her four sisters,Maybell Lyons, Margaree Nelson, Carley Nelson and Isafene Nelson;and her brother Sims Nelson Jr.

Survivors are her son, Herbert Stovall and his wife, Dorothy, ofBrookhaven; her daughter, Margaret Franklin, of Brookhaven; hersister, Eva M. Terrell, of Brookhaven; her brothers, Willie Nelsonand his wife, Louella, Carl L. “Harper” Nelson and his wife, Wanda,all of Brookhaven; 11 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; and ahost of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
