Funeral services for Genell Wallace Nelson, of Jayess, are 3 p.m. on Sunday, June 3, at Forest Grove Methodist Protestant Church in Monticello, with burial in the church cemetery. Wilson Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

     Visitation is Sunday from 1 until 3 p.m. at the church.

     Mrs. Nelson, 79, died June 1, 2012, at her home.

     She was a retired supervisor at New Hebron Manufacturing and Sunday school secretary at Forest Grove Methodist Protestant Church.

     Preceding her in death were her father, Troy Wallace; mother, Dezzie Dalton Wallace; husband, James Nelson; and brother, Troy J. Wallace.

     Survivors are her daughter, Gwen Hyatt, of Jayess; grandson, Mick Zachary, of New Hebron; granddaughter Kay Mathis, of Laurel; brothers, Dalton Wallace, of Jayess, Ladon Wallace, of Jayess, and Darry Wallace, of Braxton; sisters, Bobbie Lambert, of Jayess, and Glynda Rutland, of Monticello; four great-granddaughters; and one great-grandson.
