Funeral services for Hunter Smith Jr., of Indianapolis, were 2 p.m. on Friday, July 13, at First John M.B. Church, with burial in Boyd Cemetery. The Rev. James Boyd will officiate. West Memorial Funeral Home in Starkville is in charge of arrangements.

     Mr. Smith, 70, died July 4, 2012. He was born in Starkville.

     Survivors are his wife, Shirley Smith, of Indianapolis; daughters, Malia Smith, Amie Howard, Angela Johnson, Rosa Smith and Consuela Howard, all of Indianapolis; son, Billy Webber, of St. Louis; brother, Cornell Smith, of Starkville; sisters, Fannie Diggs, of Brookhaven, Hazel O’Neal and Shyann Bluitt, both of Starkville; 11 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
