Margie Westbrook Williams, 92, of McComb,died June 25, 2011, at Camellia Estates.

    She was born Oct. 25, 1918, in Amite County. She was the daughterof Albert Sidney and Birdie Fleming Westbrook. She was retired fromSouthern Bell Telephone Company, where she was employed as anoperator for 36 years. She was a member of the Telephone Pioneersof America. She attended and graduated high school at Mars Hill.She served as a volunteer for Relay for Life. She was a formerlongtime member of Terry’s Creek Baptist Church and was currently amember of First Baptist Church in McComb.

    She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, LawrenceWilliams; her sisters, Breness Gill, Ira Nettles, Doris Myers andMaxine Nettles; her brother, Euell Westbrook; her sister-in-law,Frankine Westbrook; and her brothers-in-law, Claude Gill, CharlesBurke, Jim Gill, Burnett Nettles, Melvin Myers and RobinNettles.

    She is survived by her siblings, Naida Gill, of McCall Creek,Cornell Burke of Brookhaven, Joel Westbrook and wife, Eleanor, ofMeadville, Bobbie Bert Calcote, of Columbia, Mo., and Wilma Martinand husband, Bob, of Osyka; numerous nieces, nephews, great andgreat-great nieces and nephews; and other family and friends.

    Visitation is Sunday at Terry’s Creek Baptist Church from 1 p.m.until services at 3 p.m. with Elder Randall Myers and the Rev. ToddSumrall officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery withHartman-Sharkey Funeral Home in McComb in charge.

    Pallbearers will be Clint Martin, Russell Gill, Mac Reeves, GlennGill, Joe Myers, Mike Westbrook and Mitchell Westbrook.

    The family requests that memorials be sent to Terry’s Creek BaptistChurch Building Fund, 1147 Church Road, Magnolia, MS 39648.
