Services for Willie Godbolt Jr. of Bogue Chitto are 11 a.m.,Friday, Nov. 22, at New Zion Union M.B. Church in Bogue Chitto withburial in Bogue Chitto Cemetery.

Visitation is Thursday from noon through the family hour, whichis from 6-7 p.m., at Tyler Funeral Home.

Mr. Godbolt, 97, died Nov. 16, 2002, at his residence. He wasborn in Amite County on March 7, 1905, to Willie Godbolt Sr. andErma Perkins Godbolt.

He was retired from the railroad. He was a member of New ZionUnion M.B. Church, where he served on the deacon board.

Preceding him in death were his parents; his wife, LucilleGayten Godbolt; his son, the Rev. Chris Godbolt; his daughters,Marilyn Davis and Glenda Clarke; his brothers, Frank and EddieGodbolt; and his sisters, Rosie Anderson, Alberta Godbolt, andClara Allen.

Survivors are his sons, Willie Ray Godbolt, Melvin Godbolt, andFrank Godbolt, all of Milwaukee, Wis.; his daughters, JuanitaDalton of Bogue Chitto and Janis Terry of McComb; his sister, LulaMae Godbolt of New Orleans; and a host of grandchildren,great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, and nieces andnephews.
