Services for Bertha Mae Sanders Tanner, of Brookhaven, are 2p.m. Friday, June 8, at New Jerusalem Holiness Church in Brookhavenwith burial in Old Macedonia Cemetery in Brookhaven. WilliamsMortuary is in charge of arrangements.

Visitation is Thursday from 1 until 6 p.m. at the funeralhome.

Mrs. Tanner, 66, died May 31, 2007, at North Oak medical Centerin Hammond, La. She was born on Aug. 6, 1940, to Alex Sanders Sr.and Sallie Davis Sanders.

She was a homemaker. She was a member of New Jerusalem HolinessChurch.

Preceding her in death were her parents; her son, James Tanner;her sister, Kathy Humphrey; and her brother, John Sanders.

Survivors are her husband, George Tanner, of Brookhaven; herdaughters, Jessie Lee Cannon and Ella V. Lyons, both of Brookhaven;her brothers, Alex Sanders Jr. and Harry Sanders, both ofBrookhaven; her sisters, Mary L. Nelson, Annie Sanders and AnnDixon, all of Brookhaven; her five grandchildren and 10great-grandchildren.
