A memorial service for Willie Barnette Brice Jr., of Brookhaven,are 11 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 20, at Center Street Church of Christ inBrookhaven. Williams Mortuary is in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Brice, 61, died Dec. 15, 2008, at Countrybrook Living Centerin Brookhaven. He was born in Lincoln County on Jan. 25, 1947, toWillie Barnette Brice Sr. and Marie Benjamin Brice.
He was a 1965 graduate of Alexander High School and aCopiah-Lincoln Community College graduate. Mr. Brice was disabled.During his working years, he worked as a registered nurse and ateacher of early childhood education. Mr. Brice was a U.S. AirForce veteran. He ranked as sergeant and served as an air policemanwhile serving in the Air Force. He was a member of Center StreetChurch of Christ.
Preceding him in death were his father; his brothers, Carl F.Brice and the Rev. Arthur “Curly” Brice.
Survivors are his mother, Marie Benjamin Brice, of Brookhaven;his daughters, Deadrian Bryant and husband, Jerry, of Columbia,Ga., Angela Green and husband, Sherrod, of Memphis, Tenn., ChrystalJackson and husband, Derrick, of Atlanta, Ga., Jauywana Brice, ofMemphis, and Brittany Smith, of Jackson; his sons, the Rev.Mahundis Brice and wife, Stephanie, of Brookhaven, Alundis Briceand wife, Heather, of Portland, Ore., and Willie Maddox and wife,Aprille, of Atlanta; his brothers, Charles Brice and wife, Myra, ofBogalusa, La., and Michael Brice and wife, Deidre, of Apex, N.C.;his sisters, Mary Dickey and husband, Joseph and Leonora Brice, allof Brookhaven; a sister-in-law, Arlevia Brice, of Brookhaven; andhis 17 grandchildren.
